À medida que os anos foram passando e as expectativas para o dia 9 de abril foram deixadas na infância, passei também a ter certa aversão pelo aclamado hino das felicitações: o “Parabéns pra você”. Não é birra, não é timidez, não é chatice gratuita, juro! E eu não sei explicar exatamente o motivo, mas ouvir pessoas cantando “parabéns” para mim é uma situação tão constrangedora quanto bater o vento no vestido e deixar à mostra uma calcinha de ursinho furada. {O exemplo é para vocês sentirem a dimensão da coisa, mas a situação não é real não, tá? Por precaução, evitemos calcinhas de ursinhos… hahaha!}
{Bono, hello, me chama para subir ao palco!}
So April 9th of 2011 has come, “another boring birthday”, I’d normally think. But this year I received an awesome gift: U2 concert in Brazil. I’ve always been so I-don’t-give-a-damn about my birthday that the concert happened to be scheduled exactly on this day, when a dream is coming true. Maybe it’s a way God has found to tell me not to be such a pain in the ass, or maybe it’s just a happy and great coincidence.
But today I have nothing to complain about my birthday. I’m gonna see U2 playing live with two people I love the most in this world: my husband and my nephew {yep, the “baby” I mentioned in the begining of this post}, and the boring “happy birthday” song will be replaced by “Beautiful Day” performed by Bono himself. Saying that I’m too happy doesn’t translate what I really feel!
{Bono, hello, can I come up on the stage?}
